Corrections policy

Short answer: If a review or log entry is wrong, email corrections@mostlytested.com. We aim to respond within 5 business days. Verified errors are fixed and marked with a dated note on the page and in the change log. [TODO confirm the 5-day target is realistic]

How to report an error

Email corrections@mostlytested.com with the page URL, what is wrong, and evidence if you have it (a screenshot, a version number, a link to the vendor’s page). Every review carries a “Report an error” link to this address. [TODO confirm in the template]

What we do

1. Acknowledge within 5 business days (target, not a guarantee).
2. Check the claim against the evidence, and re-run the relevant test step where it applies.
3. Fix verified errors. A fix that changes a fact, score or verdict is marked on the page. Typo fixes may be unmarked.
4. Reply with the outcome, and the reason if we disagree.

How corrections are marked

Each corrected page carries a dated line at the top, in this format:

Example: Updated 2026-11-02: corrected the price on the test date from X to Y. The verdict did not change.

The page’s last updated date changes, and the entry is added to the change log below and, where relevant, to the lab log. [TODO confirm]

Vendors and disputes

We correct facts. If a vendor says a result is wrong, we check it, and we re-test if the claim could change the outcome. We state the dispute and its outcome on the page factually. We make no promises of favorable coverage, and we do not remove accurate negative results on request. A vendor’s reply may be added with its date. [TODO counsel review of defamation-risk wording]

Products change

Every review is a snapshot: the date and version tested are shown. A product that changes after the test is not an error in the review. We note that in the lab log and re-test where we can.
